ECOLOGY. WORKSHEET
General rules:
- All the group must take photos and take notes of the different topics.
- All the group must take samples of the described species of plants (Leaves).
- All the group members cooperate and have the same information at the end of the activity.
- The best group is the one with more examples and the best description of the examples given.
- ABIOTIC FACTORS.
- Choose 4 plants and describe the abiotic factors that are affecting their lives. You must: take a sample of the chosen living thing, classify it take photos of the place where you have found them, describe some factors such as temperature, light conditions, humidity.
- Take soil samples to be analyzed in the laboratory.
- BIOTIC FACTORS.
- Intraspecific relationships. Find as many examples as you can of the next intraspecific relationships:
- Competition.
- Family generally taking care of their offspring..
- Herds. Living things of the same specie living together to protect themselves or to help each other with other purposes (social colonies)
- Colonies.
- Interspecific relationships.Find as many examples as you can of the next interspecific relationships:
- Competition. Living things of different species trying to get the same resource (food, light, territory…)
- Predation.
- Parasitism. Organisms that benefit from others that are seriously harmed.
- Commensalism. Living things eating the leftovers of other organisms.
- Inquilinism. One individual provides housing for another one of a different specie.
- Adaptations. Find as many examples as you can of the next adaptations:
